Iowa at Purdue

Iowa finished the regular season a surprising 12-0 last year, and a lot of the credit went to a defense that allowed 18.7 points per game through the 12 games. They have started the season at 4-2, but the defense is even better, allowing just 16.5 ppg. One of the reasons they have lost two games already despite a better defense, is the offense has not been as good or as consistent, scoring 21 or fewer in half their games. Purdue has won three games already after winning a total of six in the last three years. Despite allowing 31.8 ppg, that is the best defensive number for the Boilermakers since 2011. They certainly can do well vs. a modest Iowa offense, but they have had trouble scoring against better defensive teams on the season.
