Iowa at Northwestern

The Iowa Hawkeyes have seemed to be just outside the upper tier of the conference most years. They always seem to have a very good defensive team. Once again that seems to be the case this season, as outside of a shootout at Iowa State, the Hawkeyes have allowed 14.2 poins per game in their other five games, including holding a very powerful Penn State team to 21. The strength of the defense is going to make it tough for Northwestern, as Iowa has an elite back seven, that allows just 6.2 yards per pass attempt vs. teams that average 7.6. Northwestern is one of the worst running teams in the Big-10, so the offense will be a big problem for the Wildcats. Northwestern is significantly above average defensively and this one is going to be a battle of field position between the 20s. Make the play on the UNDER.
