Iowa at Iowa State

This is a great rivalry and has been enhanced by the fact that Iowa State is now a much more competitive and deeper team. Last year Iowa State struggled early and their season changed with the insertion of Brock Purdy at QB. Purdy had David Montgomery in the backfield and Hakeem Butler at WR who could really stretch the field. This team really struggled to run the ball and stretch the field vs. Northern Iowa in a three-point home OT win. The defense, as usual, remains strong and deep. Iowa dominated Miami, Ohio, and Rutgers, allowing a combined 14 points. This is a team that always has a great defense. Iowa has allowed 17.6 points per game at home since 1980 - think about that one. Back the UNDER.
