Illinois at Virginia

Illinois beat Nebraska in its opener, but it was outgained and scored a defensive touchdown. Quarterback Brandon Peters didn't play last week against UTSA and is questionable for this one. Artur Sitkowski filled in last week and completed 22 of 42 for 266 yards and three touchdowns, but the Fighting Illini still lost to the Roadrunners, who piled up more than 500 yards of offense. Virginia won four of its last five games last year and opened this season with a 43-0 victory over William & Mary. Brennan Armstrong finished 21 of 31 for 339 yards with two TDs and no picks while Dontayvion Wicks caught 4 passes for 94 yards for the Cavaliers, who have a plethora of talented receivers. Virginia went 7-3 ATS in 2020 and advanced to the ACC Championship game for the first time, and they return eight starters on offense. Illinois has not covered its past four non-conference games while the Cavaliers are 4-0 ATS their last four out of conference.
