Illinois at Oregon

Oregon proved its mettle as the No. 1 team in the country by not suffering a letdown after its huge win over Ohio State and shutting out Purdue 35-0 while covering the 30-point spread. Now the Ducks face Illinois, which comes off a 21-7 win against Michigan, but previously had to go overtime to beat the Boilermakers 50-49 after losing 21-7 to Penn State. Michigan has serious concerns at the quarterback position and that was exploited by the Fighting Illini, but Oregon has a Heisman candidate in Dillon Gabriel, who has thrown for 2,080 yards and 15 TDs with just four interceptions this season. Gabriel completed 21 of 25 for 290 yards and two TDs with one pick against Purdue, which was held to 93 passing yards. Illinois had only 80 passing yards against the Wolverines. The Ducks are 7-2-1 ATS their past 10 October games and they have incentive to pour it on with Georgia on their heels vying for optinum playoff seeding. Lay the points with Oregon.
