Illinois at Minnesota

This was supposed to be a good season for the Minnesota Golden Gophers. While Illinois is a troubled team, and replaced their coach just prior to the start of the season, was expected to struggle. Here we are at game 11, and the Illini is the team needing a win for Bowl eligibility, while Minnesota has to win out to qualify, currently at 4-6. Minnesota is reeling, losing four straight, and five of their last six. The defense, expected to be the team's strength, has withered down the stretch, allowing 36.3 points per game in their last four. Illinois has suffered four losses in their last five games, but all to teams at or near the top of the conference in Penn State, Wisconsin, Ohio State, and Iowa. They should find the going a bit easier here, as they are 6-2 ATS in their last eight on the road vs. a team with a losing home record. Take the points on Illinois.
