Houston at Oklahoma

Oklahoma is loaded again and this time it's on defense as it returns nine starters on that side of the ball, including three linemen. Alabama transfer Jalen Hurts edged out Spencer Rattler and Tanner Mordecai for starting quarterback, and Trey Sermon returns at running back after piling up 947 yards with 13 touchdowns last season. Kennedy Brooks also returns and he rushed for 1,056 yards on 119 carries with 12 touchdowns. The Sooners are 15-7 ATS their last 22 home games while Houston is 4-12 ATS its last 16 road games and 2-5 ATS its last seven non-conference games. Houston has stayed UNDER four of its last five versus Big 12 schools, and the Cougars are 5-1 UNDER their last six games on natural grass. Dana Holgorsen arrives from West Virginia as the new coach at Houston, and he inherits D'Eriq King, who threw for 2,982 yards and 36 touchdowns with only six interceptions in 2018. Patrick Carr rushed for 868 yards on 5.7 yards per carry, and Marquez Stevenson caught 75 passes for 1,019 yards and nine TDs. Still, the Sooners have a big edge defensively in this matchup, and Hurts should thrive in Lincoln Riley's offense. The total is ridiculously high, though. Play Oklahoma and the UNDER.
