Houston at Navy

Two teams that do not have a history of superb defenses are allowing a combined total 31.7 points per game this season. However, Houston is third in the nation in scoring defense giving up 11.2 points per game. The Cougars defense is allowing only 250 total yards, including just 42.0 on the ground. Of course, it will be tested in this matchup as Navy has a run-dominated offense although it is slightly more balanced this season than as the Midshipmen average 251.5 rushing yards per game and 143 passing yards. Neither team has allowed more than 28 points in any game this season. Navy lost at Air Force while gaining only 57 yards on the ground on 38 attempts, which is daunting coming into this game with the Cougars. Quarterback Will Worth was 17-of-30 for 260 yards, but threw two interceptions with no touchdowns. Houston has gone UNDER in five of its last seven conference games and seven of its last 10 after a win. Navy has gone UNDER five of its last six after a loss. The Midshipmen won their first game 52-16 over FCS Fordham, but have averaged only 21 points in the three games since. This one stays UNDER.
