Houston at Kansas

This figures to be an embarrassing bowl year for the Big 12, and this could be the most embarrassing loss as it comes against the worst opponent of any game. But, Houston has a big offensive advantage here. In fact, it's the biggest of any bowl game (2.2 offensive yards per play advantage). Houston scored 32.6 points per game vs. Kansas' 11.7 per game. Kansas' strength is its defense, which got them here in their upset win over Iowa State on the last day of the regular season. Kansas has a wonderful defense and a horrible offense. The Jayhawks turn the ball over in bunches while the Cougars of Houston do not, which could be big in this game. Kansas did not win a game away from Lawrence this season, and I do not think it starts here. One star on Houston.
