Hawaii at Massachusetts

This will mark the sixth year of UMass competing in the FBS, and they have never won more than three games ad are an ugly 10-50 overall. They are playing as an independent this season, and have a very tough schedule, so improvement in the win column is not very likely. This is a team that has averaged fewer than 20 points per game in those 60 games. Hawaii used to be an extreme up-tempo offense in the Norm Chow era, and the June Jones era, but things have changed under Nick Rolovich. UMass does not run the ball well, and that is the weakness of the Hawaii defense, while the linebacking corps is the best of the defense for the Warriors. UMass has 10 defensive starters returning, and that experience should show considerable improvements this season. Overall I think this is a bad matchup for both offenses, and will take the UNDER in this one.
