The USC Trojans were almost everyone's choice to not only be in the BCS Championship game, but to win it all. That was because QB Matt Barkley decided to come back for his senior year, and the thought was with all the talent on both sides of the ball, he would win the Heisman, and lead the Trojans to a Championship. Neither came to fruition. In fact, Barkley won't be on the field for this one as he suffered an injured shoulder. Talk about a disappointing season for the Trojans at 8-4! This culminates in a “disappointment” Bowl, and the leader is not going to be on the field. Georgia Tech is a dangerous team, simply because they run the triple option, and there has been a lot of bowl success by teams that run it. This certainly is an inspiring place for Tech, facing the storied Trojans in a Bowl game. For USC, this is as about as disappointing as it gets, and they don't even have their QB. The Yellow Jackets are 15-5 ATS following a game where they allowed less than 170 passing yards, and are a big dog that is facing a team with very questionable motivation. Play on Georgia Tech.
