Syracuse had only 171 total offense yards in its 21-10 loss to Pittsburgh, including just 120 passing yards. Quarterback Tommy Devito completed nine passes for only 32 yards, and Rex Culpepper relieved him temporarily in the second quarter and threw a 69-yard touchdown pass to give the Orange a 10-3 lead, but that was the only bright spot for Syracuse the whole game. The Orange is 0-2 on the season while scoring only 16 points, and it's last in the country in yards per game. Georgia Tech is averaging 454.5 total yards of offense, although the Yellow Jackets come off a 49-21 loss to Central Florida. They racked up 227 rushing yards led by quarterback Jeff Sims with 82 on 5.1 yards per carry, and Jahmyr Gibbs added 66 yards on 15 carries. Sims completed 18 of 36 for 244 yards and a TD with two interceptions. The last time these teams met was in 2013, and Georgia Tech destroyed the Orange 56-0. The Yellow Jackets expect big improvement this year after going 3-9 in coach Geoff Collins' first year when they inherited Paul Johnson's "flexbone" option attack, and it didn't work with the new regime. Syracuse has shown no signs of improvement offensively, especially at the QB position. Lay the points with Georgia Tech for a Max Play.
