When Paul Johnson took the job at Georgia Tech, most thought it was the wrong move. Many believed that his triple-option attack would never get off the ground in a power five conference, but he has proven that wrong. Tech has played a pair of soft teams, but did their part on both sides of the ball, and look to be a strong contender in the ACC this season. Notre Dame took a hit when QB Malik Zaire was lost for the season. Notre Dame will turn to a strong defense to keep them on the winning side, which for the most part has been their recent calling card. The problem I see in this one is that the Irish have had a lot of trouble with the triple-option as they allowed Navy 39 points last season, and 34 points two years ago, and quite frankly Georgia Tech does it with more precision, and speed with more athletic athletes. I think Tech is going to be better defensively, while the option has been a thorn for the Irish. Under Brian Kelly, the Irish are 41-25 to the UNDER including 22-10 UNDER at home and 10-1 UNDER in home games in September. Play on Georgia Tech and take the UNDER in this one.
