Georgia State at UL Monroe

Georgia State got off to a slow start in coach Shawn Elliott's first year, but the Panthers have rebounded to win two in a row, including last week's 27-21 win at Coastal Carolina as a one-point favorite. Connor Manning threw for 273 yards on 18-of-30 passing with a touchdown and interception.  Manning threw for 2,684 yards last season in 10 games. Penny Hart, who played just two games in 2016 due to an injury, caught eight passes for 132 yards and a TD and he is the former Sun Belt Freshman of the Year (2015). UL Monroe has won three straight after losing its first two games of the season to Memphis and Southern Miss, but the Warhawks have given up a total of 120 points their last three games, including last week's 45-27 win against Texas State, which managed to rush for 181 yards on 4.6 yards per carry. Georgia State is 8-0 ATS its last eight October games and 8-2 ATS following a win.  Also, the Panthers have covered the number 21 of their last 27 road games.
