Georgia Southern at Wisconsin

This is a difficult non-conference, situational, and matchup spot for Georgia Southern. They pulled the upset at Nebraska a year ago although the defense surrendered 42 points and 575 total yards. Wisconsin has far more talent than the Huskers. And two years ago, Georgia Southern went to Arkansas of the SEC and lost 45-10 as a +23 dog getting outgained 633 to 233 yards. Last week, Georgia Southern topped UAB, 49-35, but the defense was gouged for 477 yards. Wisconsin won't be in a forgiving mood after losing its first road game, a long trip to Washington State. The defense was decent allowing 332 total yards and just 2.3 yards per carry but the offense turned it over three times. the Badgers have a new offensive coordinator in Phil Longo who has brought in a wide-open spread attack that rolled up 503 yards (314 rushing) in the opener, a 38-17 win over Buffalo.
