Georgia Southern at Appalachian State

This is a huge game for both of these teams. The winner will come out of this game at 6-1, and Bowl eligible, as well as move to 3-0 in the Sun Belt Conference. Georgia Southern runs the triple option, while Appalachian State has a tremendous ground attack as well. These teams combined to generate close to 700 yards per game on the ground. They typically have fewer plays per game than the average game, as their average is around 131 plays per game each. Appalachian State allows just 3.2 yards per carry, and should at least slow the Georgia Southern attack some. Georgia Southern allows just 3.9 yards per carry, so it will be difficult for these teams to sustain drives as they typically do. The Mountaineers have played five of their last six to the UNDER, while the Eagles have played five of their last seven on field turf to the UNDER. The UNDER gets the call in this one.
