Fresno State at Utah

Unlike last year when the Fresno State offense was loaded, this is going to be a trying season for the Bulldogs. Last week they were torched for over 700 yards by USC, and the pass attack that was nearly unstoppable last season was held to 4.4 yards per attempt. More discouraging was the fact that newly inserted QBs Brian Burrell and Brandon Connette threw 4 INTs in 36 passes. Utah may have not improved their record in the PAC-12 a year ago, but they showed a quantum leap in competitiveness. Utah upset Stanford, beat BYU, lost in OT by just 3 to Oregon Stat. and by 1 to Arizona State, and just 7 to UCLA. They have a lot of good pieces to improve again, and have a huge edge over a down Fresno State team. Fresno State is just 6-21-1 ATS after allowing 40 points in their previous game. This one fits a situation that is 36-10 ATS as an early season indicator. Give the points and take the Utes.
