Fresno State at San Diego State

Pat Hill has been a popular coach at Fresno State thanks to taking the Bulldogs to a Bowl in all but three years. But this being the third, there are rumors his job may be in jeopardy. I expect his team to rally behind him, and get a win here to take some heat off. San Diego State is dealing with key injuries on the offensive side. QB Ryan Lindley is suffering with an injured throwing hand and RB Ronnie Hillman has a bad ankle. Both will play, but they won’t be 100%. The Fresno State defense is much better as Tim Skipper has taken over the linebackers, allowing 18 points per game less than the previous six since he took over. San Diego State has clamped down at the end of the season too. Outside of a game against powerhouse Boise State, this team finished the season allowing 7 points to New Mexico, 15 to Colorado State and 14 to UNLV. The Aztecs went for over 200 yards rushing in their last game which is a key milestone for this team. The last 26 times that has happened, they have gone 22-4 to the UNDER. They are also 8-1 UNDER the past three seasons after a game in which they outgained their opponent by 125+ yards. Play on the UNDER in this one.
