Florida State at Penn State

Does an 8-4 team deserve a BCS berth? Who cares about the BCS - it's a joke. FSU snuck in here with an upset win over VaTech. Nice what the Nittany Lions have done this season. Great story for Joe Pa. But this may be one of the more overrated top ranked teams in the country over the past seasons. Their defense live is great but they did allow 22 points per game away from home this year. Florida State is a good football team and not deserving of a double-digit underdog role. They had major injuries on an O line that should be healthier here. And, their defense is very good. You only need to venture some of the lines thus far this bowl season favoring top notch teams to smell a trend. Favorites of a touchdown or greater are 1-9 ATS so far! LB AJ Nicholson is out for the Noles, but this is a confident bunch that comes sprinting into this game, and will give the Lions everything they can handle. The whole country, and more importantly, the sucker Notre Dame money will be all over the big favorite here. Florida State has the tools and the talent to keep this close. Bobby Bowden owns a stellar 19-8-1 record in Bowl games - the tops % in Division IA history. Don't count his boys out yet. Three stars on the Noles.
