Party like it's 1999! The glory days for the Florida State Seminoles are back. The country's #3 ranked team heads to North Carolina State at 5-0. This team has the swagger back, and for good reason. There is a very good chance that the Noles will be unbeaten when they face in-state rival Florida in their last regular season game. This Seminoles team has speed, experience, and most importantly depth. The defensive front goes three deep without a drop off. They also have an experienced QB in E.J. Manule who is completing passes at over 10 yards per attempt, throwing just one errant ball compared to nine TDs on the season. Chris Thompson is a game breaker, averaging 8.8 yards per carry. So, the Noles offense is a handful - and the defense may be even better. Defensive ends Cornellius Carradine and Bjoern Werner have already combined for 13.5 sacks. Overall this team is ranked 3rd in the country in total defense behind only Texas Tech and Alabama. Glennon has done a good job in the air for NC State, but has proven to be mistake-prone with six INTs and he is going to be under duress often in this one. This will be the first time a Top 5 team has come to Raleigh since 1988, and it was these same Seminoles that were upset here 24-7 then. That won't be happening in this one. In 1999 the Seminoles went 12-0 and won the National Championship. This year they are also n the undefeated track and every bit playing the part. Play on Florida State minus the points.
