Florida International at Old Dominion

Old Dominion went without a football program for years, but brought it back and quickly became a force in the FCS. They then utilized that success to take the leap into the FBS. Things have been tough for the Monarchs as they enter this game on a five-game losing streak. Their offense was prolific on the FCS level, hasn't quite gotten to where it needs to be on this level. That has created serious problems as their defense is one of the worst, yielding 41 points or more in their last six games, and even a short favorite with a non-existent defense can be had. The Golden Panthers have an identical 3-6 record, but have scheduled Louisville, Rice, Marshall, and Pitt for what was certain to be four losses. They are otherwise 3-2 on the season, and can certainly compete in this one. The Golden Panthers have fared well against the lesser teams with a 7-2 ATS mark in their last nine vs. a losing team. The Monarchs are a disastrous 0-8 ATS after allowing 40 points or more, which has been the case six straight times. Play on Florida International.
