Florida International at Middle Tennessee State

It is hard to wrap around that only two teams in the entire FBS have scored 70 or more points twice already this season. One is Ole Miss, and the other is Middle Tennessee State. That has the oddsmakers boosting the total here, which appears to be too high. The true reality for this team is that they did score 70+ twice, but it came helpless competition. The fact is that they have scored 76 total points in their other four games, never getting beyond 28 in any of them. Enter Florida International who hung a 52-spot on the defenseless UTEP Miners, but have scored 17 or less three times. FIU has defended very well as the five teams they have faced from outside of a power-five conference team have not slapped more than 27 on them. Put it all together and you have stats that don't add up, and a total propped up by the oddsmakers. Take this one to finish UNDER.
