The Florida Atlantic Owls are here for a payday and not much else. They have been brutalized in the early going, outscored 85-3 through two games. This one won't be any closer. This is a team that will struggle in a weak conference, let alone against a major BCS opponent. Auburn's offense was supposed to take a step back this year with the departure of Cam Newton, but at 35.7 ppg that has not been the case. Barrett Trotter has already thrown six TD passes and won't find much resistance here. The Owls have never done well as a big road dog where they are 4-18 ATS in their last 22 taking +10.5 or more. They have also failed to cover each of their last eight road games. Under Howard Schnellenberger, FAU is just 12-23 ATS in non-conference games. Auburn has bounced back nicely recently after an ATS loss as they have now followed with six straight ATS wins. This one should get ugly. Lay the points.
