Eastern Michigan vs. Georgia Southern

CAMELLIA BOWL - Eastern Michigan got off to a 2-0 start featuring a 20-19 win over Purdue as a 15-point underdog and then lost four close games in a row, including two in overtime. However, the Eagles bounced back nicely and won five of their last six games to finish 7-5 straight-up and ATS and they had their first winning record in the MAC since 1995. The Eagles have the fifth-ranked pass defense in the country holding opponents to only 160 passing yards per game and they are #32 in scoring defense. Georgia Southern is #44 in total defense and #27 in scoring defense and the Eagles (both teams have the same nickname) rush for 260.8 yards per game, which obviously uses a lot of clock.  Eastern Michigan quarterback Tyler Wiegers has thrown for 1,887 yards with 11 touchdown passes and only three picks this season and he owns a sparkling 64.8 percent completion rate. EMU has gone UNDER seven of its last nine games, including the last three while allowing a total of only 34 points in its final three games. Eastern Michigan is 10-1 ATS its last 11 games when following an ATS loss and 14-3 ATS its last 17 non-conference games. Georgia Southern is 11-25 ATS its last 26 games when following a win and 13-3 UNDER its last 16 after a win of at least 20 points.
