East Carolina at Old Dominion

East Carolina opened the season with a 42-3 win over lackluster Norfolk St. East Carolina outperformed the line in this game by about 10 points. Old Dominion meanwhile almost shocked South Carolina on the road in a tough 23-19 loss as a 20-point dog. That game is going to have a lot of bettors jumping on the bandwagon for the Monarchs. I think they spent a lot of energy in that game, against a rugged SEC school, and we could see that take its toll, especially so early in the season. East Carolina should have a good defense and the Pirates held five opponents from a year ago to 13 points or less, including AAC Champion Tulane. I think the Pirates are undervalued here. Make the play on East Carolina.
