Duke at Virginia Tech

The Duke Blue Devils had lost for so long that it is hard for bettors to except them as a good team, and they are often misplaced amongst power-five conference teams. The Duke football program won all of 25 games from 2000-2011, but in the last three years they have achieved those same 25 wins, and have not let up as they are off to a 5-1 start this season. Frank Beamer led his Virginia Tech Hokies to eight consecutive 10+ win seasons, but have not achieved one in the last four years. This game represents the changing of the guard. Beamer's teams were once point-spread darlings, but since the reign of 10+ season has ended, his teams are a combined 17-27-1 ATS. Meanwhile, Duke is a quiet 30-16 ATS since the start of the 2012 season. This one reminds me of the old movie "Trading Places," as these clubs have obviously done so. Take the points on Duke.
