Duke at Virginia

The Virginia Cavaliers have been a non-factor in the ACC for a considerable amount of time. This team has appeared in just a single Bowl game in the last nine years. They are now improving, as Bronco Mendenhall is elevating the level of recruiting, and he has the Cavs off to a nice 3-1 start to the season. The quality of wins has not been there, despite getting one at Boise State as the Broncos are simply not as big as their name this season. After 17 years of futility, finishing four of those campaigns winless, the Duke program has reached new heights. They have been a Bowl team in four of their last five years, and the 41-29 run is the best in Duke history. They are also off to a 4-1 start, including wins against Northwestern, Baylor, and North Carolina, and none of those teams topped 20 points against a good Duke defense. Virginia is coming, but Duke is already there, and have the better team at this point on both sides of the ball. Back Duke.
