Duke vs. Troy

Duke will have an interim coach in the Birmingham Bowl as Mike Elko is off to Texas A&M and assistant head coach Trooper Taylor will coach the bowl game. Starting QB Riley Leonard also won't be there as he has transferred to Notre Dame and running back Jordan Waters, who rushed or 753 yards and 12 TDs also entered the transfer portal. Nevertheless, freshman QB Grayson Loftis already has led the Blue Devils to a 30-19 win over Pittsburgh throwing for 248 yards and two TDs in the season finale. Loftis' primary target will be Jordan Moore, who leads the team with 794 receiving yards and eight TDs.  Duke hit a rough spot in midseason as the injuries piled up, but the Blue Devils still managed to finish 7-5. Duke has covered the spread six bowl games in a row, including 30-13 over Central Florida as a 3-point favorite last year. Troy has won 10 in a row, but the ACC has the better pedigree than the Sun Belt Conference. Troy also will have an interim coach for this game as Jon Sumrall took over the Tulane job and defensive coordinator Greg Gasparato takes over for the bowl game. Take Duke ATS as a Max Play and on the moneyline.
