Duke at Navy

The Naval Academy has gone to seven straight Bowl games and they are again on the cusp of that this season. A win vs. Duke makes them bowl eligible once again. Navy has a power running attack that generates 275 yards over land good for the ninth best rushing attack in the country. That will spell problems for the Blue Devils’ stop unit that is yielding over 200 yards on the ground for the season, ranking No. 107 of 120 teams in stopping the running game. The Blue Devils’ mistake-prone offense is better suited for the air, but the Midshipmen rank No. 15 in the country in stopping the passing game. So, Navy has the decided advantage on both sides of the ball. Navy has reeled off five straight covers after winning their last game. They take care of business vs. bad teams, having gone 47-25 ATS in their last 72 gams vs. losing teams including 25-12 ATS vs. teams at .250 or worse. I like them vs. a poor Duke team that is outclassed on both sides of the ball.
