The Huskies got a redeeming win last week as they poured it on vs. lowly Texas Southern. That doesn't make up for the egg they laid in Ann Arbor, losing to Michigan 30-10. The Huskies have QB issues and a lack of strength among the receiving corps, which puts the emphasis on the offense to Jordan Todman. I expect the Owls to load up the box in this one, forcing the Huskies to the air. The Owls struggled vs. Villanova, but most don't know that Villanova is a non-BCS powerhouse (they followed that with a win over Central Michigan). The Owls’ program has surged forward after being a long time doormat. They won nine games a year ago, and return almost the entire offense. They put up 30 points per game a year ago, and with RB Bernard Pierce 1,300+ yards returning along with QB Chester Stewart, the Owls figure to move the ball well against a Huskies revamped defense. The Huskies have never gotten it done vs. the Owls, standing at 0-5 ATS in this series. Temple has dominated the money vs. the Big East where they are 10-2 ATS. This team is also 9-2 ATS as a home dog under Al Golden. I like Temple in this one.
