Back when Sonny Lubnic was in town, Colorado State used to have a very competitive program. In the 90s and 2000's, this team went Bowling eleven times. Things haven't gone so well lately. Since the 2009-10 season, the Rams are just 8-32 vs. FBS teams. They aren't just losing - they are getting crushed. Eighteen of those losses have come by 18 points or more. Another one of those big losses is ready to take place again this Saturday. San Diego State is led by QB Ryan Katz who is averaging 8.4 yards per attempt, and has already thrown 11 TDs. The Aztecs have one of the most potent running games in the country on top of that, averaging 227 yards per contest. They are also amassing 38.2 points per game, which has risen to 43.4 ppg over their last five. The defense has been spotty vs. good offense, but pretty good vs. bad ones, and they get a bad one here from the Rams. The Rams are just 1-32-1 ATS after scoring 20 points or less in their previous game over their last 46. I’m looking for another huge win here by the home team. Take the Aztecs.
