This rivalry means one thing as they open against each other - one of them will be starting 1-0. The Buffs were a shameful 1-11 a year ago. And while the Rams did manage four wins, they came at the expense of teams that combined to win 10 games all year between them. Kent Baer is the new defensive coordinator for Colorado, and he has some solid pieces to work with and shouldn't be challenged to much by the Rams' offense that ranked No. 102 a year ago. Like Colorado there are more workable parts on the defensive side of the ball, where any improvement from a year ago is likely to take place. Colorado has played the Rams to five straight UNDERs in the last five meetings, and the Rams have a 13-6 UNDER mark in their last 19 September games. Both will struggle often on offense, especially early in the season, making the UNDER the choice in this one.
