Colorado at Utah

Colorado started 3-0 but has fallen apart, losing six of eight. That included a 45-42 loss at home to Arizona as 7-point chalk. The defense has been poor, #72 in points allowed, unable to stop the run, surrendering 198.7 yards on the ground per game (#102 in the nation). Colorado comes off a 38-24 home loss to USC and the Buffaloes are 18-40 ATS after allowing 280+ yards passing in their previous game. They are also 6-19 ATS away after allowing 31+ points in two straight games. They head to Utah, a team that can make a bowl with a win. The Utes have been snake-bitten at times, losing to Stanford, USC and Washington by a combined seven points. Last week Utah had a 30-23 lead with 1:05 remaining at Washington as a +17 dog before things unraveled. Utah is on a 7-3-1 spread run, including 7-2-1 ATS after allowing 450+ total yards in their previous game. They are also 44-26 ATS after allowing 125 or fewer rushing yards in two straight games, making this a great bounce-back spot for the angry home team. Play Utah.
