Clemson at Wake Forest

The Clemson Tigers opened the season with two losses in their first three games, all but eliminating their chances to make it to the Final Four. This team lost one of their best QBs in school history, and a lot of playmakers. While the defense has been very sound, the offense has had trouble scoring points. It appears that there has not been a lot of improvement either as over their last three games the Tigers' offense has been limited to a total of 56 points or 18.7 points per game. That makes life difficult on the road as a better than three TD favorite. To put tonight's into perspective, it represents 41% of all the points they have scored in their last three games combined, and it is on the road. Wake Forest is not going to score much as they have topped out at 24 points as a high for the season. But, they have scored in every game, and their defense has allowed 23 points or less in five of their eight games. There is a lot of value here with a Wake Forest defense that is pretty good, vs a Clemson offense that is going to struggle to even get to 23 points, so the big dog here has some value. The Tigers are just 5-11-2 ATS on the road vs. a team with a losing home record in their last 18, and tend to not bring the "A" game to this type of game. Grab the huge points on Wake Forest.
