This was supposed to be the year Clemson made a National Championship run, and at 10-1 they have come close. But, unless something crazy happens, they won't be playing for the top spot. That was pretty much decided when they went to Florida State and were beaten badly 51-14. The other problem is a weak schedule, as the Tigers just didn't have any other big games this season. South Carolina has had a schedule full of tough games. They handed Central Florida and Missouri their only losses of the season. They really get after it on the defensive end, and none of their last nine opponents scored more than 28 points. The Tigers have gone just 1-4 ATS in their last five against winning opponents. The Gamecocks have rolled over the ACC where they are 6-1 ATS in the last seven, and Clemson is a big part of that with the Tigers 0-4 ATS vs. SC. Steve Spurrier coached teams are 10-1 ATS as a home favorite of 7 or less and since his arrival in South Carolina, the Gamecocks are 16-7 ATS at home vs. winning teams and 14-5 ATS vs. teams that outscore their opponents by 17+ points per game. Play on South Carolina.
