Clemson at NC State

Clemson lost an NFL-caliber QB from last year's squad, and has had to deal with an inexperienced and injured one this season. The good news is that the Tigers have a lot of depth and the defense is as good as ever. NC State has had some big moments this season, and have positioned themselves to be in a game that may decide a divisional winner in the ACC. The Tigers have a fierce ground game, and not a bad passing game either. Where they truly shine is on defense as they allow a stingy 4.3 yards per play and are equally good against the run and the pass. The NC State defense may be the best part of the team, especially against the run where they allow just 3.6 yards per tote vs. teams that average 4.4. I think Clemson will get some good yardage on the ground, but they will have to work for it while I think the NC State offense will be overmatched by the Clemson defense. Play on the UNDER.
