Clemson at Georgia Tech

Georgia Tech is 8-2 and playing at home, but they are getting a field goal, which tells you something. Clemson is really the better team by nearly a touchdown by my rankings. There is an overlay here only having to lay 3 points. Georgia Tech's strength is their running game, but Clemson has a shut-down defense that is #2 in the nation overall and #4 in the nation against the run. The Tigers are allowing just 252 yards per game (only 91 per game on the ground) and they are holding opponents to just 2.7 yards per carry. I believe the Yellow Jackets will have trouble moving the ball on the ground and they simply can't throw it. GT is averaging just eight completions per game this season, so they won't be able to do much if the running game isn't producing. When the Yellow Jackets have to face a high-powered offense like Clemson's, and they are forced to score a lot, they simply struggle. Since last season Tech is 0-7 ATS vs. teams that average 425+ yards per game (the Tigers average over 431). In conference games, Clemson is 30-18 ATS since the arrival of Dabo Swinney.
