Clemson at Florida State

While most look at this line and see a good Clemson team as a two touchdown underdog that is hard to resist. I am not one of those people. Florida State is better than most think and there are a few reasons why. First, they have whacked three opponents to the tune of 176-3, and have gotten it done in every area, including special teams. The schedule has been soft, but don't discount the win vs. Wake Forest and the way they handled them too lightly. Wake went to North Carolina and won, so they are a bit better than most think. The big thing here is the depth of the Florida State defensive line which goes three deep without a drop-off. It's simpy the best in the country. They also have a healthy game-breaker in Chris Thompson, who is one of the top backs in the country, and is very explosive. Add an experienced QB who is getting better in Manuel, and there are simply no holes. Clemson hasn't exactly been tested ether, with their biggest win coming by 7 vs. Auburn who just needed OT to win at home over UL Monroe. The Seminoles will be out to make a statement here, looking for revenge for last year's loss, A statement wll be made. Play on Florida State.
