Clemson at Boston College

The big key to this game is the energy level that Clemson brings. The Tigers won their biggest test last week at home against previously unbeaten Louisville. They put it all on the line for that one, and now they have to head on the road, against a not very inspiring opponent. The Tigers have been inconsistent on offense this season, and playing as a huge road chalk could be problematic against what has been one of the stingiest defenses in the country in Boston College. Boston College is an improved team from last season where they won just three games all season, and at 3-2, have matched that total already this season. Outside of their debacle at Virginia Tech, the Eagles have allowed a grand total of just 37 points in their other four games. This is a quick turnaround for Clemson, having to head on the road for a Friday game, and it gives Heisman hopeful QB Deshaun Watson a short week to recover from an ankle injury suffered vs. Louisville. This is a huge line for the favorite to cover in an anticipated low-scoring game. In fact, dogs of 13 points or more and playing to a total of 44 or less have gone 141-81-7 ATS.
