Cincinnati vs. Duke

The Cincinnati Bearcats finished in a four-way tie at 5-2 in the Big East, but because of tiebreakers they were left out of the BCS Bowl bid claimed by Louisville. The Belk Bowl is certainly not going to be an uplifting experience, especially when they had BCS Bowl aspirations late in the season. The story for Duke is radically different, as the Blue Devils will be playing in their first Bowl in 17 years, and right in their own backyard in Charlotte, NC. The Bearcats not only lost out on a BCS Bowl opportunity, but they have also lost their coach. This is going to be a tough spot for Cincinnati and a big emotional spot close to home for Duke. Duke can move the football behind QB Sean Renfree, and they are the only team in CFB football this season to have three receivers with 60 or more catches on the season. Teams that play close to home in their Bowl games usually respond very well. I expect Duke to overcome their disadvantage in talent and take advantage of their emotional mindset coming into this game over that of Cincinnati. Make the play on Duke.
