Central Michigan at Ball State

Ball State reminds me somewhat of Kent State last season. The MAC is all about BCS-buster Northern Illinois, who is knocking on the door to be in the hunt once again. Last year Kent State played second fiddle and took the Huskies to overtime in the MAC Championship game. The Cardinals are quietly 8-1 and on a similar path, and still far under the radar. Central Michigan scored 30+ in their last six regular season games a year ago. But that offense, and its firepower, have all moved on and what is left has not topped the 24-point mark all season. Missing that offense, they will be hard pressed to keep up here as they have all season, getting outscored by over 14 points per game. Ball State is scoring just shy of 40 points per game so they can run away with this one. The Cards have gone 37-18 ATS in their last 55 following a win, and 21-7 ATS in their last 28 overall. The Chippewas have not traveled well vs. good teams as they are a pathetic 1-9 ATS in their last 10 on the road vs. a team with a winning home record. Since Dan Enos took over as head coach, Central Michigan is just 8-20 ATS as an underdog. Lay the points here on Ball State.
