Central Florida vs. Duke

Central Florida has a terrific offensive mind in head coach Gus Malzahn and had a winning record both home and away this season. Three quarterbacks combined to throw 22 TDs and 7 picks as the offense averaged 34.4 points per game. The ground attack, always a threat under the imaginative Malzahn, ranked eighth in the nation averaging 231 yards and 5.3 yards per carry. The defense is also very good, 40th in the country in points allowed (24.3 pg), plus fifth in red zone defense (69.23%). Central Florida went 2-1 straight up against Top 20 teams, knocking off Cincinnati (25-21) and Tulane (38-31). UCF is 22-10 ATS away from home versus defenses that allow 58% completions or worse. Duke was great at home but split its six road games. The Blue Devils didn't face any Top 20 teams and lost to a 5-7 Georgia Tech squad, 23-20. Central Florida had no trouble whipping Georgia Tech, 27-10, rushing for 284 yards. Duke's defense ranked 65th in yards given up (385.2 yards per game), 36th in red zone defense (80%), and 98th on third down (42.38%).
