The Akron Zips may have fallen to be the worst Division-1 program in the country. Last season they took the collar going 0-11 vs. D-1 schools, with their lone win coming over VMI. The Zips scored all of 134 points in their 11 losses, or just 12.2 points per game. They hired Terry Bowden to take over the reigns, and he has some talent, but more of it is on the defensive side of the ball. Now with Chuck Amato taking over the defense, I can see the Zips improving defensively, especially if they can move the ball just a little better. Offensive improvements will be hard to show, taking on a UCF team that put up some big numbers on defense a year ago. They allowed 18.3 points per game on just 303 yards. Those were Top 10 numbers in both catergories, and 8 of the 11 starters are back this year. The Knights have played 23-8-1 to the UNDER outside the conference in their last 32, which includes 7-1 vs. the MAC. The Zips are 5-1 to the UNDER in their last six as a home dog. Play the UNDER.
