Coastal Carolina at Arkansas State

Coastal Carolina had a big win over Troy 36-35, but then suffered a letdown on a short week losing 48-7 to UL Lafayette five days later. The Chanticleers get extra time to prepare for this one and they're in revenge mode after suffering a 44-16 loss to Arkansas State last year. Coastal Carolina has two capable quarterbacks in Bryce Carpenter and Fred Payton. Carpenter has a 64.6 percent completion rate and has thrown for seven touchdowns with no interceptions. Payton has thrown for 1,071 yards on 91-of-140. Payton is questionable this week with a minor shoulder injury. The Chanticleers are averaging 30.1 points and the Red Wolves are #126 in the country in yards allowed while giving up 36.0 points. Coastal Carolina has covered the spread 10 of its last 14 road games and Arkansas State is 4-9 ATS its last 13 home contests.
