Bowling Green at Akron

Bowling Green had beaten the Zips in eight straight times before finally losing 34-23 last year. The Falcons have an opportunity to start another streak against Akron after snapping a six-game losing skid by beating Central Michigan 24-13 last week. The Falcons held the Chippewas to just 166 yards of offense and 72 rushing yards on 2.5 yards per carry. Akron has lost five of its last seven games, including its last two against Northern Illinois and then Eastern Michigan last week. The Zips mustered only 101 total yards of offense, which would seem almost impossible, but they had a total of just 29 passing yards. Alex Ramart completed four of 15 passes for those 29 yards and threw three interceptions. Akron's starting QB Kato Nelson missed the game with an ankle injury and is questionable for this one.   The Falcons are 5-0-1 ATS their last six meetings at Akron and the Zips are 0-6 ATS their last six when following a loss. The Falcons' history in the series and last week's performances by both schools make the Falcons the play as the outright winner. Take Bowling Green on the moneyline.
