Boston College at NC State

This is a big separation game in the ACC as Boston College plays at NC State. The contender/pretender label will emerge from the winner and loser in this game, so it becomes critical at this juncture of the season. The Boston College "A" game was good enough to take down USC at home, but their sleepy game lost to Colorado State at home. The Wolfpack may be running on empty here after four soft opponents to start 4-0, but a galiant effort vs. Florida State, who they always seem to play well against, came up well short in the end in a 15-point loss. Last week they were bullied by Clemson 41-0, and it appears that the Wolfpack isn't ready to compete against the better teams. The Eagles have done some party crashing when following an ATS loss, as they are 7-1 ATS in their last eight when following one. The Wolfpack has crumbled when following a big loss at 1-8 ATS in their last nine after a 20 point or more setback in their previous game. Take Boston College in this one.
