It is hard for most bettors to play against powerhouse offensive teams, and quite often they tend to migrate toward them blindly. The Bears took it on the chin last week against Oklahoma State as the powerful offense was reduced to ordinary by a solid defense. TCU has not had a good season, but the defense is still very good, and ranks better than the stop unit the Bears just saw in Stillwater. There are a few more considerations here. One is Baylor's dream season came to an end, and slipping to No. 9 in the latest BCS poll means their chance at a National Championship is gone. This will be a huge letdown, especially playing on the road for the second straight week. Gary Patterson is a masterful strategist defensively, and when he has two weeks to prepare, like he does here, the Horned Frogs are 8-0 ATS. There won't be a Bowl game this season for TCU, but this will be their Bowl game. RB Lache Seastrunk, and WR Tevin Reese were two huge parts of the Bears' attack, and Reese is out for the year, and Seastrunk is nursing a groin injury and is questionable. As a result, the attack has not been the same. Baylor is in a 19-48 ATS situation off their first loss, and are also in a 48-86 negative situation. Take the points on TCU.
