Central Michigan Coach John Bonamego knew it would be a challenging season in breaking in a new QB with an offense returning just four starters. Defensively, he had similar concerns with just six starters returning, but lost some key defenders. The result is a painful 0-5 SU record vs. FBS competition, with the lone win coming vs. Maine where they scored just 17 points. Through six games the Chippewas have yet to top the 24-point mark. Ball State has turned to the air, generating close to 1000 yards over their last three games. and with Central Michigan's turnover-prone offense that has coughed the ball up 16 times already this season, should get the road win here.
