Arkansas State at Kansas State

Arkansas State has a terrific offense behind pro-style QB Logan Bonner and running QB Layne Hatcher (27 TDs, 10 INTs in 2019). They used both last week in the opener, a loss to a Memphis squad that has won 13 of its last 15 games. Arkansas State rolled up 424 yards, almost identical to 2019 when the offense struck for 439 yards and 34 points per game. They have a game under their belt, and this is the opener for Kansas State. It's a rebuilding job for K-State as the Wildcats lost 28 seniors, 15 of whom were starters. In 2019 this was a one-dimensional offense, mostly running, ranked #61 in total yards as they threw for just 180 yards per game. However, K-State lost all five of its starters on the offensive line to graduation. After stepping up to play a pair of Top 3 teams the last two seasons (Georgia, Alabama), this is a far better matchup for Arkansas State to keep close. Play Arkansas State.
