Arkansas vs. Penn State

OUTBACK BOWL - Penn State is 7-5, but that is with a lot of close losses against the best teams on its schedule, including Iowa (23-20), Illinois (20-18 in nine OTs!), Michigan (21-17), and Michigan State (30-27). The Nittany Lions will be without six starters, including star wide receiver Jahan Dotson, but QB Sean Clifford will be there, and he'll have his younger receivers, Parker Washington and KeAndre Lambert-Smith along with redshirt freshman Malick Meiga. Clifford has thrown for 2,912 yards with 20 TDs and just six interceptions with a 62.4% completion rate. He had 313 passing yards with three touchdowns against Michigan State. Arkansas will be without wide receiver Treylon Burks, who opted out. KJ Jefferson has 2,578 passing yards and 21 touchdowns with three picks for the Razorbacks. Penn State has the #42 rush defense in the country, and the Nittany Lions are #8 in scoring defense with 16.8 points per game. The Razorbacks are #57 in yards allowed and give up 24.0 points per game. Penn State has some motivation to beat two SEC teams in the same season for the first time in its history as it defeated Auburn in September, and it has the edge defensively in this one.
